Just have a moment to post a BIG thank you to Grandpa Joe!! We had such a nice visit, although as usual too short, but he made the most of his time down here in sunny... oh no, I mean FREEZING cold South Florida, building Alek his first playset, or as Alek calls it, "Alek's house." He really did choose the coldest week this year, maybe the coldest since I've lived here! BUT, we managed to get a couple nicer days in, and he really gave Alek one of the best gifts ever, complete with swings, monkey bars, ladders, a slide, and even a two-story fort (so dubbed his "house!")! We have and will surely continue to spend countless hours in our previously unused side yard (which BTW, super-dad/grandpa also manually fenced in himself last year on his visit down!). Photos will be posted shortly (when I have another "moment"...)
Alek also started his new school this week and really seems to be settling in there already. Ms Marta is an angel and seems to really "get" Alek. There was even apparently a day with no hitting/kicking/biting, which we haven't heard from a teacher since his beloved Ms Rosa at Children's Castle. We still haven't found an aftercare for him but progress is being made all around. We are grateful for every step forward.

SO glad that Alek is loving his playset and that the new school is working well. While grandpa Joe was freezing in Florida, grandma Linda was freezing in Iowa. Wherever life finds us we always have our darling grandson in our hearts and prayers. Hope the weather is giving Alek a lot of time to play in his new "house" and give him hugs from me!
